The Miami Showband Story had a successful press night at The Grand Opera House, Belfast on Friday 9th August. Theatre goers from all ages danced and sung as the cast took their final bows on stage before bursting into a hand clapping, feet stomping encore. Some patrons of the Opera House said "I have never seen the Opera House like that before, people were dancing in the isles - some 25 year olds right up to 95 year olds" others said "the best show they have ever seen!". On the final curtain audience members left the auditorium to be met with more live music from Saxophonist extortioner Mr Des Lee himself. Opera House staff even commented "In all the days working here on so many shows we have never seen the bar this full AFTER! a show" Des Lee performed Miami hits and some old classics, the dancing surely continued in the bar area of the foyer. Mr Lee was even joined by a special guest Miss Imelda May (Irish Singer-Songwriter). She commented on the show saying "the songs were great, the band was great, the fact it was a live band was fabulous". Once again GBL Productions have provided another fantastic night of entertainment for the audiences of Belfast and they aim to continue to do so with their All Ireland Tour beginning in The Market Place Theatre, Armagh.
